First Darling of the Morning: Selected Memories of an Indian Childhood
I recently finished “The Weight of Heaven” and found it to be a very compelling and very touching story. Some aspects didn’t sit well with me, but I really enjoyed the storytelling and have recommended the book for my bookclub’s next selection. I’ve posted my own review of this book on my blog:

“The Weight of Heaven” leaves much for readers to ponder on many levels and aspects of life, spiritual, familial, marital, national and international. That is the challenge and the strength of the book, and perhaps what sets authors like Thrity Umrigar apart from the rest of the pack, and what brings readers like you and me back for more.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. I’d love to hear what your book club thinks. Please keep me posted.
Again, thanks so much for sharing.
